The Good News

«For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life » (John 3:16).
What Jesus claimed about himself was totally unique - others who have ever claimed the same things have instantly been labeled as insane. Jesus claimed that he could satisfy the deepest needs of humanity. He said that we would judge the world and that he was the only way to God. In fact, he claimed that he was God.
Jesus' life also showed that he was who he claimed to be. He fulfilled over 300 prophecies from the Old Testament. He showed a tremendous love for all people, also those who were rejects to society. He performed many miracles and was so overwhelmingly caring and kind that people simply could not find anything wrong with him. A Roman historian put it this way: «Now, there was about this time, Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man. »
The most remarkable thing about Jesus, though, is that everyday people experience the same Jesus today! Ever since he rose again from the dead and ascended into heaven, Christians have experienced finding meaning in their lives, answers to prayers, healing from sickness and disease, and strength during persecution through faith in Jesus. He is without doubt the most important one in our lives!
